How you can help increase recycling rates in Nottinghamshire
There are so many items in your day to day waste that can be recycled and made into something new. Just by putting cereal boxes, cans, paper and plastic bottles into your recycling bin we can make sure that less waste goes to waste and more materials are made into something new.
Nottinghamshire County Council and Veolia (your county council's waste and recycling partner) are committed to helping and encouraging local residents to increase household waste recycling rates across our county.
That's why we're asking residents - Are You Bin Smart?
- Do you know what you can and can't recycle?
- Do you know what happens to your recyclable waste?

Nottinghamshire residents have helped push recycling rates in the county to over 43%. If we work together and are all Bin Smart then we can make Nottinghamshire even better!
Thanks for doing the right thing and helping to make Nottinghamshire a top recycling county!
