The waste educational sessions we run for Nottinghamshire schools
In partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council's Waste Team we run education sessions for school visits. Please see below for details.
Schools must be based in the Nottinghamshire County Council area in order to attend.
We would like to welcome you to the Materials Recovery Facility in Mansfield.
A Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) is where recyclable materials that are collected from households are sorted into different types (e.g. plastics, cardboard, paper, metal) using a mixture of manual and automated methods. When the materials have been sorted they are sent to reprocessors and manufacturers where they are used to create new products.
